American Crocodile

INTERESTING FACTS
The American Crocodile is one of the biggest crocodiles in the world. It lives to around 70 years old. The American Crocodile lives in Central America, the Caribbean, southern Mexico and in Florida. It eats small mammals, fish, insects, snails, and frogs.
STATUS
There are more than 1,000 in Florida. Although we don't know the whole population we do know that the number of nests in all of the areas have been decreasing significantly.

WHY THREATENED
They are threatened from illegal hunting and habitat loss
