WHY THREATENED
The California Condor has been impacted by lead poisoning, DDT poisoning, power lines, and habitat loss.
Don't put poison in the trash. Little critters can get in your trash and eat the poison and those are the animals that the Condor eat. Also, The San Diego Zoo has a very successful California Breeding program that has helped increase the number of Condors from as low as 2-3 dozen in the 1970s to the current number. Support of that program can help the zoo do more.
