Nile Crocidile

INTERESTING FACTS
The Nile Crocodile lives in rivers in Africa. They are one of the only species where the father watches over them with one exception, the babies have to catch their own food so they learn to catch food fast. The Nile Crocodile's main food is fish but they will eat almost anything.
STATUS
There are about 250,000 Nile Crocodiles left in the world and numbers are free falling!
WHY THREATENED
They are threatened by nonnative plant and animals destroying their nests, people selling skins, and they breed in groups so it is getting harder to breed. One year 80,000 skins were sold!
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Don't buy anything made from crocodile skin for example shoes or belts.
